Please help

Ok first off let me explain what my car is doing. Car will start just fine in the morning or once car has been warmed up if i shut it off it fires right back up. If the car is warm though and i let it sit more than 10 minutes, it takes forever for it to start. I have replaced Water temp sensor, Tps Sensor, Map sensor, Crank Sensor, Idle Air Control Valve, Fuel Filter,Fuel pressure regulator.Only codes im getting is IAT sensor low/high input. My friend also gets these2 codes but only after he installed his CAI. I purchased mine with a CAI installed so im not sure. Im running out of idea's what this problem could be.. ( The hard starting )..Well i can only come to the conclusion of3 diffrent idea's.
1st. My coil pack Is 13 years old. It sits right on top of the valve cover(which gets a little warm) Im thinking, Its old, its getting hot, its breaking down and arching under the temperature.
2nd. Only sensor i have not replaced... which is my Cam position sensor. I dont know if my car is falling under the symptoms if this sensor is bad or not.
3rd. I've had my farther in law tell me that a bad egr valve would cause this but im not seeing his theory.
Ive spent countless hours and ALOT of money on this car, but i knew that would happen with this dsm. Dont get me wrong i love my car. but im over this issue. I just wish my ride would get of its menstrual cycle and purr.
Any Idea's gentlemen??
Thanks

Steve, is your 420a an auto or manual (sorry, I forget). If it is an auto, the CPS theory is best to follow because the CPS is a fragile piece of junk...er, I mean electronics.
The CAI is another good theory if it's actually a RAM. In other words, is the filter at the same level as it was with the stock airbox? If it is, then that is a RAM filter and it is just sucking up hot air during hot start ups and is most likely your cause. This could also be causing your intake air temp issue because of the hot air that it is sucking up.
The EGR theory doesn't pan out because it has nothing to do with the code since the IAT is before and away from the EGR output to the intake manifold.
The coilpack theory is a good one too, but I would start with the above first.

***I can't believe I was allowed to write a paragraph by the board, lol.

dude trust me, you need another car. i understand the spending money issue but it really is only good for gas and btw id say the coil pak is fine. to test it get a light tester and ground one side and put the opposite to their eithercoil side( the metal part that connects to the wires) and have someone start it and it should light up if it is good. id put my money on the cam sensor. or if not the starter relay. hopei could help

Yeah, I think your RAM is what is causing your IAT issue. BTW, a CAI filter sits down low and further away from the engine. What you have is a RAM.
Let us know the outcome.

Ok, Coilpack wasnt the issue. Well i got a better one now anyway. Next thingi will try is the cam sensor. My buddy has one he is gonna let me try out tommorow, instead of buying one if its not my problem
