300mpg is good 230 is normal-ish for city driving. I get 210 around the city and that's driving easy-ish, lol.

Well, that depends. Is that the figure you get driving in the city or highway/interstate? If both, then you have to figure in the fact of which one do you drive on the most. If most of the driving is city, then yes, it's normal. If most of it is driving on the highway/interstate, then no, it's not normal...unless, you get on it a lot.

i havent hit the highway in a while but i am gonna do that this week i have a long trip up to wasington so i figure lets have some fun and take up the eclipse. but when i did it a long while ago i got about 30-50 more miles per tank. so i figure that was normal. do you have any sugestions on how to get better fuel economy. other then a cold air intake and an exhust

drive really really reallyslowOR sell your eclipse & buy a rusted out ford festiva with one seat and no windows. youll get a good 45-50 MPg out of one if its really rusty and light

i normally would get around 300 just city driving... and 400 on the highways... so if it were a combo i would be somewhere in the middle. my gst has a big 16g with other mods....ran it at 14-17 psi all the time.

If you say its normal. Cuz i made a 300 mile trip on the highway going aout 90miles constantly and i had a quarter tank left of gas. It just seem like i am using more gas.. the gas gauage moves up and down at idle or stop light.. very slightly.. It didn't before.. But dam if 300 for city driving is normal then i must be having it good before.. thanks for the input..

here is a briefing.... when i drive around the city... i am on the gas... alot. always boostin...
when i am on the highway... i drive between 75-95mph.... so it is not like i just scoot along...

so i get at least 22-28mpg around the city depending on how har i drive... usually hard....
and 28-32mpg on the highway... and yes i get almost 30mpg doing 100mph...constantly...

now... before i get completely hagged....for speeding. if any of you live in san diego... you know the speed limit is "10mph over the posted" cuz thats how cops think... also... i usually drive the I-15 almost every day... between temecula and san diego... and the normal traffic is usually at least 85-90mph... and when i cruise between 85 and 100mph... i have had cops just cruise past me... looking for people goin over 100... i mean.. it is an empty 4or5 lane freeway.... when i drive it..not during rush hour

Cali has big emission laws and the cars bought there also have to be compliant. I can see a Cali car getting high mph over any other state that isn't as tough with emissions. You have to admit, Cali is pretty hardcore with it...when I look up parts for my car, I'm asked if the car is Cali standard or Federal, lol. That's bad.
Of course with the emissions stuff, you'll get better gas milage since the fuel is substituted for inert gases.

**Also keep in mind that the GSX has drivetrain drag**
