problem
 

i just had the ssqv bov istalled today, it sounds awsome but now the check engine light came on, car just has full hks cat back, its automatic and everything else is stock with 70k miles, any help?

your BOV is venting to the Atmosphere, your losing air that the motor thinks it is getting so the light is on... and the car probly has a bouncing idle its and auto so no stumble between gear shifts but either way that is the problem I can almost garentee it;)

thanks, so what do i do about it take the bov off or leave it and it will be fine? can it cause any problems?

it cant really damage anythin I dont think but It may cause the car to stay out or come close to it at times. You can buy a recirculation kit for the SSQ so it will plumb the air back into the intake much like a stock BOV does but it wont be as loud as it is now though. I personally would rather have no sevice engone soon light on and have my car run good rather than have a loud BOV and bouncing idle
