I unplugged mine too. I don't start my car without checking to see if it's in gear first anyway, never have. It takes a whole .5 seconds to move the shifter to the right with my elbow while my hand moves to the ignition (yeah, that's my modified version of a gear check, lol).

I've seen and heard about people forgetting that their car is in gear and blah, blah. That's their fault not the clutch switch IMO. Even automatics don't start in gear (unless you consider park or neutral a gear). Yeah, I understand the whole incline thing, but really though, it takes a second to check if the car is in gear and get it into neutral. Blah, the switch is there to remind folks that the car may be in gear and for you to check. If it takes a switch to make folks put their car in neutral before start up, then let them keep it.

I would have linked you to the clutch switch removal vid, but since you already know what to get at, there was no point
Yeah i just couldnt tell from that video what plug it was. When i got under my dash i couldnt tell which was which, thats why i asked. Like you said to all it takes is a second to move the shifter and check to be sure its not in gear.....

that plug is a pain in the a$$ to get out. I couldnt even get it.....those 2 clips on both sides make it impossible to unplug and its cliped to the car itself so you cant even pull it down towards you. How did you guys get yours?

I don't even remember anymore, lol. I know my hand and arm fit the area just fine. I think I used a flathead and pryed it out. Or maybe I removed it from where it's clipped and then seperated the two....that may be it.
