probably a stupid question to ask, but i can use a block from a sohc 91 galant ls for a 6 bolt conversion to my gst right?

Eh.... whats the engine code for the Galant?
Why dont you use a 1G Eclipse block?

all i really know is that it is a 4G63 (if that was what you were asking than i apologize for sounding dumb). was at the junkyard today lookin for a 1g block and apparently there was slim pickings for finding a 6 bolt from a 1g eclipse (from what i saw there were only 2 1g's in the whole lot, one that was a 94 and the other a 92 but with no engine). so i figure the next best thing was to look for earlier galants because apparently they have the 4G63 block in them. I guess the real question i want to ask is if the dohc of my car will work on that block of the galant?

I didnt think there was a sohc 4g63.

the block could be the same, but the heads could be different??

see thats what i would think, so shouldnt the head be able to bolt up right without any problem?
