Radiator Hoses?

RE: Radiator Hoses?
Nope, just checked and they were different length's. If you do a head swap, then you could use them. Bascially if you do a head swap, you can treat you engine just like a 4g63, everything externally will be the same. FatalJRA, if you are gonna do an overhaul, You might be better off swapping to a 1g or 2g 4g63 head instead of sticking with the 4g64 head. I got my 1g turbo head for free, but i bet you can find one for $50. Pretty much, then everything will fit, from plug wires to hoses to manifolds!

If I was to replace the head to a 4G63, does that mean that I will have to replace everything from the plug wires to hoses because those won't fit the new head? Just curious because I found a website that sells rebuilt cylinder heads. They want $400 for a 2G 95-97 head.

Oh my, $400 for a 2g head? That's quite expensive, go on the trader(dsmtrader.com) and post that you want a a complete 1g cylinder head with sensors for $50-100. You will most likely get a few replies, however not everyone will have the sensors, and when you find one that suits your needs, buy it. If you want, you can take it to a shop and have it cleaned or upgraded, but for the most part, that's just peace of mind. If you do the swap, you will need to change out the timing belt, which probably a good thing(you need to use the belt from the 1994 galant gs, a factory DOHC 4g64), and the head gasket. Also, the radiator hoses, spark plug wires, and water pipe will need to be changed. I know you want to change the hoses and pulg wires, so this might work out for the best for you. Also, if you did want to overhaul the engine, now would be a good time since the head would be off the car. Remember though, this head swap won't make as much hp as you might think, but it's sort of a precursor to turbocharging your car. You will also be able to rev the engine up to 7500rpm after the head swap, which i thought was way cool. For the cost break down, saying that you got the head complete for $100, the t-belt cost ~$65, and the rad hoses cost $30(for me, i bought generic aftermarket). The head gasket costs about $50, and the new plugs wires cost $30. It's under $400 to do the entire swap(well, it cost me under $300), and i thought it was worth it. But i'd go for a 1g head if you're planning on turbocharging your car.

SpyderGS, originally when you told me that the underdrive pulleys would work on a 4G64 engine, is that before the head swap, or after you did it. Or does it have nothing to do with the head. Because I ordered the pulley's but I'm not sure if I want to do a head swap at this time. I'm focusing on the top and seals as well as the clutch.

RE: Radiator Hoses?
It doesn't really have anything to do with the head, though, but i should have made that a little more clear. I put my pulley's on before the head swap, so i know they work on a stock 4g64. Have you ordered the crank pulley yet? Most crank pulleys apparantly don't have the dampener like the factory pieces do. About the only one that I know of that has the built in dampener is bushcur racings crank pulley. However, my UO pulley wasn't dampened and it worked pretty well, so maybe it's just speculation.

As long as the pulley looks sturdy and well made, just enjoy it. I really did think it made a difference on my spyder. Not like a power increase, but the engine just revved more freely and quickly. I think you'll be happy with the the three pulleys.
