Replaceing Radiator Support?

Hi i bought a eclipse gs that has front end damage and one of the things i will need to replace is the radiator support. I was wondering if yo u know of anyplaces that have how to's on how to do this or if you could tell me how to do this. I have never welded before and need to know where to weld and where to cut the old support off at. i am mechanicaly inclined so i can handle this project i just need a how to .

thanks a million

if you've never welded before then i would not suggest welding onto ur core support for a test run... i would suggest getting it done somewhere or having someone you know that can weld do it for you... as far as the how-to... all you have to do is get the part, see where it is welded onto from the factory, cut that piece out, and weld the new on back into place

a good place for "how to's" is a haynes manual or a chilton's manual. you can get both or either from any advanced auto or atuo zone.
