Default Short shifter...

Hey guys. Quick question. Does it matter what kind of short shifter I buy? Is there such thing as cheap short shifter? Can I buy one from ebay? Even if its like $20?

Lets just say, what do you guys suggest on short shifters?

I love my short shifter. I got it from boneheadperformance on ebay. 99.00 included new base bushings and underhood cable bushing. It really does make a difference in the accuracy of the shift and much shorter throw.

Did you do it yourself? Did you put it in yourself? If yes, was it hard?

you can get a cheap one, the difference in the shifters is the bushings... B&M comes with stainless steal bushings which make a HUGE difference. if you get a cheap one get a set of stainless steal bushings. Concept Illusions sells them for like 30 bucks. and yes, installing them is extremely easy

Cool. I just didnt really see myself spending that much money for one. I was thinking about somewhere around $30-$50.

What if I buy a cheap, like $30-$40 short shifter and buy really good bushings? Would that be a waste of time? Or would I be better off spending the $100 and getting that one that TX97GST suggested?

well i went with the B&M but i have a friend w/ an eclipse that i installed a $20 shifter but $30 bushings and it works just as well and still is not a bad way to save 100 bucks
