Default so another problem with my 4g63

ok, i put the intake manifold gasket in, got everything nice and tight, hooked everything back up right. fixed my throttle body cable, i let it get too loose by the way, went to go start it. It starts up, idles like **** and then dies on me, and after that i hear this big woosh sound of air coming from the motor, i haven't found out exactly where yet, but i will start looking friday, any ideas for the time being?

First off check the IAS setting, secong check/change the PCV valve, 3rd check the PCV valve's hose. With the stuff you've done that sounds like a logical place to start in my opinion.

If you have an after market intake that air sound when it turns off is normal, but sounds like you need to adjust the screw on the tb

yea tune up your idle set screw, does the car idle high then dip low then higher then lower? it might be a leak somewhere lower in the intake, but for the most part just turn your idle up some and you should be fine

what exactly do you mean by idles like ****. Fluctuating idle? runs at low rpms?

well it starts up fine, then when it goes to idle, it sounds rough, and it starts to die.. the rotations get slower and slower until it dies. I've turned the idle screw some and it has no change at all. I get this loud swoosh air sound somewhere, i'm gonna try to see if a vacuum hose is disconnected or leaking. But when it does run for the few seconds the gasket definately fixed my vacuum leak, now i have another one somewhere.

Well if its not the screw, and it just slowly dies then it could another leek, however if not chances are its the IAC motor or the TPS
