For starters dont buy an automatic, they rob HP. Other than that start with an aftermarket intake and exost.

Learn to drive a Stick. Plus with the money you save going to a stick you can put more into the car. Treads might be a good idea too. Depends how good the ones it comes with are.

if you want to race.. autos SUCK, you will learn how to drive a stick in about 3 days.. specially since its YOUR clutch and YOUR tranny that YOU are gonna **** up if you can't get it down.. trust me, its not hard. I learned on my first car in ONE day. but yeah, you'll save what $800 by going standard instead of auto.. thats a very nice intake and catback system.. that would be my first go. and maybe some headers next!

Stick is really easy, you can learn how to drive it in 3 hours if you know how to drive auto.. and as street racing, you better get a stick .. you save probably more than $800, gonna be around $1000~1500.. and with that kinda money, you can get cold air intake and exhaust...

Manuals are'nt everything. I've seen a 4 door automatic accord beat the hell out of a souped up del sol. It depends on how much money u put into your car.
