Default swap

im getting a 1996 eclipse from a friend i want to swap a in a evo engine all i know about the car is that its not turbo or awd but thats what i want hes giving me the car for 300 so im not goin to complaine but i really want to swap something in with awd or turbo

Impossible. Explained TOO many times why. SEARCH next time. Youd have better luck retrofitting a Jaguar V12 into that bay than a 4g63t.

Its been done w/ an evo engine, just a lot of time and money for the evo engine.

A 420a -> 4g63t conversion? The cost would be on the frame and mounting modifications... not the engine. lol.

The evo 8/9 engine sits the same way as the 420 and almost bolts in I think a mount or two need to be fabricated as well as axles and a few other things.

dusty your thinking about a 4g63 from a 2g. An evo one can be, but you would pretty much need a wrecked evo with everything in it to do the swap. Not worth it IMO

You can put a 572 in the eclipse with enough money, doesn't mean it should be done.

hey it does cost a good amount of money,i would rather just buy an evo,but if the money and time is there then we should probally motivate this guy in doing this:hey the other day i saw a 402 in a mazda miata!!it was ugly but it was fast
