Default A/T to M/T conversion

I am sure there is already a post somewhere about this but I am somewhat confused. I have not found anything on this forum, but I have found some stuff on DSMTalk about the transmissions on the 2ga and the 2gbs having some of differences but that is where I get confused in my cause. I want to pull the A/T out of my AWD Talon and put in a M/T AWD, I want to know does it matter if I usea 95-96 M/T or can it be 97-99 M/T, and still be able to keep the original rear diff. Also do I need to change anything else in my first swap, I already know the pedals, master cylinder, flywheel, slave, clutch of course. Will the A/T front driveshafts be ok, will the A/T driveshaft be ok. Please help I am currently not driving my Talon because I love M/T, and my other car is a 95 GST that I have had the pleasure of changing clutch and tranny in, but I am tired of eating tires, what can I say I like to get up and go. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks TE for the better info than I had. But another one of my questions was will I have to change my rear diff if I were to get a 97-99 trans and TC. The above web site talks about the 95-96 gsx trans being different than the 97-99 gsx trans. Or will I be alright as long as the trans and TC match each other. I have a 96 TSI AWD.

Thank you very much TE. One more question, if I were to find an AWD trans for a 95-96 that was missing a TC could I use theTC off of my A/T to put on the M/T.

I'm pretty sure that the manual t/c is the same as the auto and you'll need a manual rear diff. Auto's have a different gear ratio.

Thats what I was afraid of, well if I happen to find a rear diff that nobody knows what it came out of (justmy luck), what gear ratio do I need, is it posted on the diff somewhere.
