The engine that comes in thers and gsis notorious for blowing a head gasket. Check to see if there is any oil in your coolant, or if there is any white foam under the oil cap. Take it for a drive and see if you see any smoke coming out of the exhaust. And it probably wouldnt hurt to run a car facts report on it to see if it has been in any accident or had any work done to it. Basically just do your research on the car and make sure it is in good working order. How much are they asking for the car?

wow I think everyone is scaring this guy into not buying an eclipse. Its like any other car you do proper maintenance and don't run the **** out of it all the time and you should be fine. But then again **** happens. And I 'll be honest the first time you race a pos modded honda and kill it with a stock GSX its really a priceless feeling.

I wish they had some better pics than that. Its hard to tell anything about the car other than the body looks to be in good shape.
By the way did anybody read the reviews of the eclipse at the bottom of the page. Look at this section and see if you find anything wrong with it.

"Assembled in a Mitsubishi plant between Bloomington and Normal, Illinois, the Eclipse comes in four trim levels: RS, GS, GS-T and GSX. The RS and GX come equipped with a 16-valve, 2.0-liter DOHC engine that produces a highly competent 140 horsepower at 6000 rpm. The GS-T and GSX are powered by a turbocharged and intercooled version of the same engine that puts out 210 horsepower and 214 lb-ft of torque at just 3000 rpm."
