Default throw out bearing

i somehow managed to screw the throwout bearing, as some of you may know, but just for the sake of money i have right now, is it alright to just replace the bearing, instead of an all new clutch. I want to get an upgraded clutch, and dont have enough right now.

yes i think it would be ok just to replace the bearing. I would inspect the disc and pressureplate though.

you THINK? well...thank you for the advice. now what would you do if i went out, under your advice, replaced the TOB only, and i totally ****ed something else up because of it?

I dont mean to be a dick, but dont answer a question if you dont know the answer.

Thats fair. Well as long as your disc and pressure plate is in good condition then you should be fine... YES you can just replace the TO bearing.

lol i might be 15 but im not ****in stupid

The reason i asked was because you mentiond that the clutch was smoking... or "something from the tranny side"... that sounds to me like its the clutch. That probly put a little wear on the clutch

agreed. stock clutch is junk if you dont do it now when you get some small mods you will need to so I would find a way to spend a few hundred and just do it right
