Tire Pressure

Very simple question. Does anyone know the correct/ideal tires pressure for a 99 eclipse GS? It doesn't say so anywhere on mine.

For stock tire size?? I'd say about 32 lbs. is OK.

What does that translate to on the pressure reader? Mine reads from 1-5. It's the pen type. But at the gas station, I filled it up to 7. Theirs can go up to like 10.

Get yourself a real pressure guage from Autozone. They are $2. I believe on my 99 Spyder, it is 32lbs for fronts and 29lbs for the rears.

Assuming you have your original doors, open up the drivers side door. There should be a label towards the bottom that tells you what they should be.

usually it even tells you on the tires wut to do. and yeah usually 34 outfront and if you're back seats always empty 34 outback if not do 32 outback. on stock tires that is. i got low pro's on my car and they take 40 i think, if i member right

Is it bad to over pressure them? Because I got mine all the way up to 70 psi.

holy s***!!!!!!!!!! u better lower that crap, cuz if you hit a big enough bump u're fu****, and it's also uneven tire wear, all the way will be on the center of the tire, and when i say center i don't mean the flat surface it'll be like a rounded surface. and if it's bad, dude it's more than double of what u're suppose to have

Holy ****! I pen pressure gauge broke. I put it in to test the pressure, and the pressure was so strong, it blew the cap off. Wow...I didn't think it was THAT strong. I lowered it by a lot.

dude u're lucky u didn't hit a pothole and lost a rim or something. and yeah no sh** that pen can't handle 70lbs of pressure, i think it's like 50?!?! but not sure, and yeah this teaches you to actually invest in a REAL gauge at autozone for 9.99(digital one). and now you know that 7 means multiplied by 10,lol

I know it's stupid of me, but I actually didn't know that. I actually didn't know it was supposed to only be 32-34. So I thought...the more air, the better! The car is stable now, and it runs much smoother now. Phew...I thought I was going to have to get new shocks or something. Because I related the bumpiness to bad shocks. See how much I know about cars? lol
