Default trunk

Ok i bought sub box carpeting for the trunk, because the board you pull out to get to your spare tire is ugly and bothers me, plus i was going to place my amp in the trunk and i wanted it to look decent. To install the carpet, how should I do it? cut the exact measurement by taking the board out or overlap it to the bottom of the board. I'm sorry I know this sounds stupid, but what should i use to hold it down also?

that looks sweet, something that i wanted to do. i just bought an alpine 1242 type E sub and im still looking for an amp, but if i put the amp like that, is it still possible to get to the spare tire underneath of the floor board? and how did you apply the carpeting to the board? thanks a lot!

Wrap the carpet around the board and staple it from underneath would be my guess. If you keep the regular spare doughnut I am fairly sure (with the right positioning of the amp) it should fit easily. Looks good but yet at the same time bare and empty 99clipse. And only 1 sub??? Damn... Oh BTW 99clipse you should put a board or piece of plexi in front of the speaker the bass'll get louder. (Bass doesn't start sounding until it bounces off something).

My friend letsstophere everything in life has a price. if you put the amp in the floor like I did you lose the space for a spare. but you gain alot of room for neons and cool stuff. I don't know if you can see but I flipped my amp upsidedown and put plexaglass over it. That way when the trunk opened a blue neon lit up the amp. for the carpet you can can some cans of 3m spray glue and a hair dryer. Industrial heaters work better but they cost more too. Let me know how things workout. maybe you could put in a false floor above the normal floor but who knows.

Make a false floor out of plywood. Wrap the carpet and staple the underside. BAM...done! Yea my system is where my back seat USED to be but I made a false floor on my last car.
