Turbo Timer for GST

Turbo Timer for GST
my first post here..
I just traded in my 99 accord for a 95 GST. I've never owned a car w/ a turbo, so this is all new territory for me.
but i was thinking of installing a turbo timer in my car (so i that i don't have to sit there while it cools down).
What is a good brand timer to get? (I see a lot of Greddy timers out there)
Is this a project that I install myself?

RE: Turbo Timer for GST
turbo timing a car is really only for when you beat on the car. Basically if you drive it hard to full spool a couple times. Then thats when you need to let it sit. Personally it wouldnt be my first mod, but its a good thing to get none the less. Mostly its gonna be just electrical stuff, and there is a site that once you get it, you can go to that will tell you were everything must be wired to. Or you could just buy the harness for an extra like $20 to make it easy and no splicing will be invloved.

Just splice a few wires nothing else really. Well think about it... your not always at full spool. If you are at vacume or just boosting a few psi then you dont really need one. Even if you beat on the car.... unless you are thrashing the crap out of it... and then strait away want to turn the car off... then you need one. But if you are trashing the car and then you drive normally for a couple miles then it would have already cooled.

nah if you dont go past 4k and dont really floor it then youll be fine.
full spool is when the boost pressure reaches the maximum setting. Basically for a stock car when it reaches around 9 psi it will top out at that pressure. On a t25 turbo (what is in your car) it will hit this boost alittle over 3000rpms when totally floored.
