UPDATE: so after getting her all put back together we started it up and that obnoxious knocking sound is back at first i thought it was just my timing belt shredding, but no it was the water pump that was bad, but no after starting it after replacing everything its still doing it. so my dad had a buddy come over to check it out. they opend up the veiw port thing on the timing cover and the belt was slapping around. my dad tore it apart again and the TB tensioner piston deal is wore out. the one thing we didnt think to get. F*cK man. i cant believe my luck.
