ok i know this is a dumb question but i gotta ask it anyway i have a manual transmission and i need to know were the fill point is for the oil for the gears. and when i rev the motor in nutral i hear a kinda clanking grinding noise doesthat mean the gears are bad or they just need oil oh and this car sat for about 6 months before i bought it. thanks anybody who can help me.

 

on the side of the tranmission (rad side), there will be a 17mm head bolt with an aluminum washer on it, remove that bolt, that is your fill and check plug for the transsion. It will be aboutafootor so back from where the bell housing meets the engine.

i checked my transmission and i can not find a 17mm bolt i have the 420a motor so would it be in a different place?

I hope you filled it with Mitsubishi Fluid only

 

well checked it and it's full so i guess i gotta pull the transmission and look at the gears thanks for the help
