there's a lot more to turboing this car than just throwing a tubo on it. depending on how fast you want to be. as long as the engine is in good condition... you will only be able to safely run about 8lbs of boost. anything past that you start breakin crap. like you said you don't have a lot of money so i wouldn't even go there with this car. you would prolly be lookin at a minimum of 1k to turbo this car and that would be either used or what we like to call ebay crap parts. you need a turbo manifold, turbo, IC piping, IC, bov, boost controller and wastegate. those are the bare minimums. with that kit you can run your car to about 8psi but without tuning you won't be running very well and if you run it long enough without tuning... you may end up screwing up your engine. so like i said i wouldn't even bother tryin to make this car fast.

Damn, Well cant say i didnt try. Gotta admit its a little disheartening to hear all that lol but what can ya do? Guess I'll accept it and get the paint lmao this car has more primer than paint :'( anyone seen a 2g eclipse with gunmetal paint? Friend of the family will paint my car for mats, and free flake i was thinking Gunmetal w/ red flake just because there are so many regular black 2g eclipses i hate having the same car as everyone else...can not stand it. What you guys think about gunmetal with red flakes?

eh not for me, but hey, differnt strokes for different fokes... and thanks for Louding me out Engineer!! lol but it's true, i've bought over 1400 in parts JUST for my rebuild and i'll end up spending prolly another 1k in parts gettin ready for my turbo and another 2k on the kit i'm getting... so... i'm what people like to call an idiot!!! taking the long way around instead of listening to everybody else and just getting a GS-T! but i'm to far in now.

Ah don't worry, your not the only one I have spent close to a thousand getting ready for my turbo kit, and buy the looks of things I doubt I will be getting the turbo kit anytime in the near futur. I decided not to go out in the real world and stay three more years in college in Grad school lol. I have JE forged pistons and rings, and Crower Billet connecting rods just sitting in my room. Some day this 420a will be bad ***.
