i love the look of my car though. Im keeping it although i might be buying an 03 350z or infiniti GS, but im gonna still make my eclipse seem fast.
EDIT: well either way, with a grand to spend, what are the things i could buy with the most hp gains.

second thought, i might just use my eclipse for daily driver and make it looks and sound cool. If i need to smoke a ricer, ill hop in my
02' BMW 540i and smoke any kid in town.

540i? what do those things run arnt they bug and heavy? Im sure that thing can move but you cant say youll smoke any one in town unless your talking 16 year olds that are just stupid. I drive an EVO an I have been beat by some cars that I though would be slow. and I have beat up on some cars that though I was slow. there isnt much fun raceing any ricers its like me raceing a metro who do you think will win lol.
540i is that a V8 4.0 right? some TQ there im sure that is some fun. But I say dont mod the Eclipse because MITSUs are unreliable when they get some power( at least require more TLC) and it wont be fast unless you have BIG $$$$

Well if you wnat some serious power, i am selling a stage one turbo kit on ebay, right now the reserve is 1100 but if no one bids on it ill give ya it for a mitsu forum deal <900> All it needs is an oil line kit and a fuel pump and bam 80hp. If you dont want something that involved and want to stick with n/a parts... GEt a short ram intake, 150 from injen, a 60mm throttle body, zapp motor sports 200, obx type h cat back 325, obx ss hedder 200, obx intakemanifold 200, egr block off kit, 14.50, and save the rest for gas. All of those items can be found at conceptillusions.com. That should give you times like 15.9 16.3 ish depending on your launches and 60 foot's. Just to give you an idea the turbo kit would put you at 15.00 14.8. If you were to spray 900(for a good kit) it and get some nitto 555r's (180 a pop) you would run about a 15.5ish If you have any other questions just pm me.
