Hey on the 03 gt eclipse do you guys put 92 oct gas in the tank or do you use a lower oct gas. Because someone told me thats its ok to put 87 in the tank but the manual say to put 92. Will this damage my engine?

 

if the recommended fuel ispremium, then thats what you should use.</P>


you CAN use a lower octane fuel, but you will lose power if the engine starts pinging (detonating), which is likely if you live in a warmer climate, or drive aggressively at all.</P>

i run 93 octane just for better performance.. and my car loves me for it... lol
