yah well how do i get the sprocket off without throwing anything off.
i already tried to undo the bolt and the sprocket turned. so i turned it back. hope i didnt screw anything up.
so is there a trick to get the sprocket off so i can get behind there???
wtf, whoever thought of this needs to be shot. cus now im probly gonna have to pay 500 to get it re timed.
or can i just mount the new sensor on the outside of the gear???

yeah well is there any way i can just take the valve cover off, unbolt the cam sprocket. and slip it out a little so i can get a wrench in there???
then just slip it back in and tighten it back up??? problem solved right?

if you take that sprocket off, you gotta take the timing cover off and the motor mount and might as well replace the timing belt if its older.you gotta tear it all down and do it right, if you dont put it back in time right youll be crying about bent valves.that gets expensive real quick. i would investigate further in wiring or anything you could have done when you messed with the intake before taking all that stuff apart. find where that sensor plugs in and recheck it.

Definately check the wiring and make sure tha harness is seated properly. If that doesn't solve the problem, you're going to have to go through the timing procedures (top dead center, timing marks, etc) and take off that sprocket. There is a place on the camshaft to hold it with a box wrench. This will keep it from moving while you're taking off the sprocket. Definately hit up vfaq or some other resource to help you with the timing when you put the sprocket back on. If you need help you can PM me. I've done the head gasket on my car as well as the timing belt on 5 different eclipse. Remember though... Check the wiring first. Good luck brother
