burning coolant AKA headgasket.

Take a look under the oil cap and see if you see a white goop

apparently they are fine...i just got the car last thursday and havnt drivin in too much, im getting her registerd tomorrow...but the previous owner(a family friend) told me its been smoking white for the past two years now...i checkd the radiator and it was to the top..the fluid level in the reservoir was low so i put some in there....all she told me was that i need to add oil to the engine here and there because she uses oil...i lookd under the car and i know for a fact that she has some leaks...i saw some by the oil pan. and the powerstearing leaks also...(off topic sorry) i dont know what it could be...i just changed the oil and added some of that "stop leak" in a bottle thing...

if there are leaks from under the car one thing you can do... which may help with the oil loss but won't help w/ the smoking is change out your oil pan gasket.... very simple process... since you just changed you oil you may wanna wait until the next change but just drain the oil, its either 10 or 12mm bolt size there are like 8 or 9 of them surrounding the oil pan, just take it off, swap out the gasket and wala, good to go. that will help if you have a leak down there. if it's not a blown head gasket then its either blowby, or valve stem seal i'd say... let us know how the compression test goes and we can go from there.
