No, I don't shift to Neutral to rev, then put it into Drive. I just hold brake and rev and I usually just rev to about 2.5k rpm and then at the last moment b4 go time i would rev up to 3k rpm.

no they dont. not unless you run 100oct ot c16 or have that little extra something. stock they run like 15.1 maybe a very very very very high 14 is possible but I doubt consistantly. and auto will be only slightly slower I mean a few .1s or so

And I have seen huge differences in cars that are MT Vs AT. I used to have a 99 Acura Integra that was auto and I had a friend with a MT (Both non V tec) and he could almost do circles around me. His would go 0-60 in the 7 second range and I would be in the 9's it sucked. You have to remeber that Autos can't slip the clutch or launch w/o doing some serious damage, also they have much broader gear ranges becuase they only have 4 gears (3 primary and 1 OD) I'm not saying that this is the same for the GSX I am just speaking from experience.

perhaps drivetrain problems like the trans or clutch? not 100% sure but maybe. does it have a check engine light?
