Default wideband question

I just bought a AEM UEGO wideband for my Gst and I was wondering where I install it on the exhaust. I've heard that you can just take out the stockfront sensor and replace it with the new AEM one. Is this true...or do i absolutly have to use the bung they supplied and tap it into my downpipe?

i've heard that too, and wondered if you can do it, but i'm just gunna go ahead and make a new hole for it and tap it, might as well do it the way it was designed. besides, once you take the stock o2 sensor out u'll get a cel, so idk

They come with instructions. If you didn't get instructions. Look it up in google, they have the exact measurements.

DO NOT put it in the place of your stock front sensor your car NEEDS that sensor.I don't really suggest the rear locationeven, but people do it and it works.

well if you dont use the stock placement then your going to have to drill a hole in your downpipe and weld in the supplied o2 bung.

There is no way around it. And to have a shop weld it is really no big deal. That should be a simple task for any welder. It doesnt even have to be an exhuast shop.

Lately alot of exhaust companies are starting to provide the 3rd bund already on their systems just for this reason
