does anyone know how many gallons the stock fuel tank holds on a 97 gst? thanks for the help im just trying to see how fast i burn through the gallons. i usually put around 13 gallons in when my light comes on. so any comments would be great. also does anyone know why my fuel gauge and stock temp gauge dont work. my fuel gauge only does when its about half tank. anyone else have this problem

 

im pretty sure you have a 14 gallon tank, not certain tho

 

Just reset your trip when you fill up and when you go to fill up again just take how many miles you went and divide it by how many gallons you filled up with.

 

well i do that but my gas gauge never shows how much gas i have unless its more than half a tank so i just do that from when my gas light goes on and its real ****ty unless its free way driving i get like maybe 300 miles to the tank is that around normal for a gst with the 16g and exhaust and intake and bc and bov?

 

thats definetly normal. Most people will get around 320-350 on a normal stock turbo, so that mileage isnt bad. What have you calculated for you MPG?

 

well i can usually go around 300 mi if im taking it easy but if im stomping on it i get like 250 so i just took 300 / 13 or 14 and its around 23-21 mpg T.E. you have an eclipse with a 20g turbo? how do you like that? where are the pics if you have one i thought i heard some one say you had one

 

Well with my non turbo spyder, I get 30mpg. So I'm happy.

 

Well if you do that then whats the point of this thread? Do you want to know how to fix your gas needle?

 

dono if gsx an gst differ but i kno the gsx holds a massive 16.9

 

Its the same. 16.9G/US. GST and GSX have the same tank.
