Won't rev over 2000 rpm Need Help!

Hey new to the forum hope you can help, Was driving my car yesterday and all of a sudden the check engine light went on and the car wont rev over 2000 rpm, when it hits 2000 rpm it sounds like it is bouncing off a rev limiter. Im guessing a sensor is out but have no idea which one. Any help would be appreciated.

thanks

I had this with my GST. It was because of my apexi fuel computer.. Do you have any mods at all? Im assuming your talking about the 93 GS?

No.. If you dont have any mods you wont have the fuel problem that I had.. I would think it would all be ran off your main brainbox, and that prolly is fine.. But your prolly right about the sensor.. Im not sure which one it would be and where, hopefully someone else knows more about that..

Clean your throttle body. Check for vac leaks!

try resetting the computer by taking one of the terminals off the battery and waiting like 15 minutes and see if that helps

I have reset the computer and that works for about 130 miles than the same problem starts happening again. Has anyone else ever encountered this problem before and what did you do to fix it? My guess is that it is either a sensor or the ecu.

go to autozone, get your CEL checked, buy whatever is broken, and replace it.......pretty simple?
