And noone can tell you to buy a GST if youre talking about the 3g family... (which the V6 [6G72]) comes in... as they no longer existed.

it's the 4g64. basically same thing as n/t 4g63 only it's a 2.4. as far as i know there aren't any major defects of the motor but then again it hasn't been out all that long except for the 2g n/t spyder's.

Why are you calling the title For a 3g eclipse GT (which is the v6) and then ask about the 4 cylinder. The 4 cylinder models are either RS or GSnot GT. And like RCJ said, its the 4g64 2.4l. Its a really good engine platform for turbcharging

yup. The GTS came with alittle more power. but is worse for turbocharging.

yea i knew that part, i just wanted to make sure. is there any particular reason it's worse for tubo'ing? like it can't old the pressure? intake design? things like that? also was the GTS available from 00-05? or not till later? (sorry for the newb 3g questions but just trying to expand my knowlege so i can answer questions like this more thuroughly later on)

The GTS came out in 03, and the reason is they have higher compression pistons which as you know is not very good when adding a turbo. I think its something lie 10:1 CR

I think he was using the 4g63 code as an example in trying to ask the engine code for the V6... I dont think he was looking for the 4cyl code...
