Braking Vibration
First of all I love my 2001 Eclipse Spyder. It was a one owner car before me. Today I replaced the clutch assembly on the A/C, filled it with R134 and now have it working. The dealer replaced both sway bar joints before I bought it. My question is that I still have quite a bit of vibration under braking. It is more prominent under heavy braking. I am assuming I have a warped rotor but I also noticed some steering wheel vibration at high speeds (60 mph +). My question is this:
What have all of you other people had wrong that caused this same kind of problem ? I have had the car into the dealer for an oil change and visual check and they saw nothing. Thanks for your responses. BD |
Sounds like your rotors are warped. The dealer may have missed that becasue like you said its shakes at high speeds. Techs dont usually take a car up to those speeds on a roadtest.
