Car Won't Start
Not my car it's a friends car.
2001 Mits Eclipse GT V6 3.0 His car died around the block from my house. We thought it was the battery we took it to AutoZone to test it and it was bad I swpped the battery no electricity was going through and the battery was smoking. I checked the wireing and the wire was DONE had batery acid in it. I went back to auto zone I got replacment wires, cleaned everything and electricity was going through (lights, windows, etc.) The car still didn't start. There was a mechanic next door and he checked it out and he checked if there was spark and he said there wassent any spark. He said that can be the problem or there could be something wrong in the battery wireing, but the car with the new battery made the car actually sound like it wanted to start up unlike before. But he checked the top of the engine (I think it was the coils) for spark and he said there was no spark. It also smelt like gas to. Any ideas on what to do or what it might be? |
RE: Car Won't Start
well the coil pack could definately be the problem

RE: Car Won't Start
What would be the best replacement for that? Coil on plug set up? to eliminate wires? website links would be good.

Did you have the battery in backwards?
Sounds to me like it shorted something out. Check the fuses bro : ) |
