Convertible Leaks
I'm a new owner of a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder. I love my car. However, we had a hard rain -- and it rained for several hours -- and my car leaked terribly from the drivers side and passenger side window. My seats, doors and carpets were soaked. Any advice from people who've had this happen or advice from any other experts?

RE: Convertible Leaks
Check your seals man. Check if they are heat cracked or deformed.

RE: Convertible Leaks
I had a '97 Spyder..it leaked a little on the driver's side and didn't seal extremely tight on the passenger's side...Just think about it, that top goes up and down so many times during the nice weather so it's gonna wear everything out..I took 2 full days to replace the elastic in my top and straighten out brackets..it helped a little but not much...a new top was gonna cost me like $1200 then...I got rid of it and got my '99 GS-T hard top with a sunroof...Best thing I ever did...I'll never own another convertible again...they are such a huge headache...My advice to you is to trade it on a hard top with a sunroof..You'll be so glad you did..I'm so much happier with mine than I was with the Spyder.
