Engine shakes a little?

Hello,

Whenever I come to a complete stop with my heater on I notice my engine starts to shake a little. It is noticable thru the steering wheel. I have a 2004 gts automatic. If i turn the heater off of full blast it doesn't shake no more. any help would be great.

You probably aready thought of this but the only time I have heard of shaking in the steering wheel when stopping is A. your rotors are warped or B. Bad eng mount. I have never heard of the problem being caused by the heater, that shouldn't make a difference.

Yea I"m not sure. But when i turn the ac on or the heater the engine starts to shake and i notice it. Its still under warranty and I'm not sure if I should take it in. I dont want them to do nothing.

Now is the eng shaking or is the steering wheel shaking, and when you turn on the ACC what does the RPMs do?

well he said he's at a complete stop when it happens, so you can rule out the rotors. put your car in 1st, or park (depending on weather your car is manual or auto) with the car off and open the hood. rock the car back and forth as much as you can and see if you can see the engine moving more then about an inch. also listen for any noises coming from your motor mounts when you do so.

I also have a shaking engine, but mine is only when stopped. If it's in Drive then it shakes worse than if in Park. It was shaking enough to be a minor annoyance in the summer, but when the weather got colder it now shakes enough that it sounds like the something is rattling against the hood. If it's a bad mount, does that mean that it's just loose, or will I have to have the engine removed to replace the mounting hardware?
