I have an 02 Eclipse Hatch with a 38K rebuilt 4cyl engine, new brakes, new clutch, dark blue with a wicked after market spoiler, 5 speed, GT wheels and lots of tire thread. This car will give many years of fun driving, drop it and give it a nice paint job.. Asking $3000. You can view it on Houston craigslist. Its a nice sexy hatch. The important, drivetrain is good, now the bad, cosmetics.
Dash is cracked, Houston's hot summers, and it has a cloth dash cover. I can get a used dash from a pick a part place in Houston.
Windshield is cracked on the lower passenger side, but she passes Texas inspection no problem. I can get a windshield installed in Houston for $100-$150.
Paint is faded (but the car still looks good), especially the roof, I can get a paint job done here inexpensively.
Small tears in sun visors, can get them cheap on ebay.
I can drive the care anywhere from Houston for 25 cents a mile, just need to drop me off at the nearest good size airport.
It's a nice car, but I'm too old for it. Bought it from a friend who outgrew it and didn't want to fix it up. His loss, your gain.
