I'm all wet...

the actual drain for the a/c in right behind the motor mount on the back side of the engine. you have to lift up the insulation to see it. if the hvac case is clogged you put forced air into the drain from the outside and it should unclog. however, that model of eclipse can leak into the car without the drain bieng clogged. the rubber gromet that seals the hvac drain to the firewall from the inside fails quite regularly. there are 2 fixes. first and most expensive is removing the dash and evap case to replace the $1.50 gromet that dry rotted. this is a very big job and should not be attempted by amatures. you can really mess thisgs up if you dont know what your doing. let the dealer do it if you can afford it. this job uaually takes a full work day. 8 hours. or, you can buy a drain hose extension from the dealer and install it onto the outsie drain. all it does is fit over the existing drain tube and has a 90degree bend to take water away from the drain area so it doesnt go back into the cabin area. this job is a little difficult, but can be done by someone who is mechanically inclined.
