Default manual transmission help!

Hey, I have a 2000 eclipse rs and I was driving to work last night and as I pull in to a parking my clutch was stuck to the floor and I could not shift out of gear. I made it home but when I slow down or come to a stop I continuously have to pump my clutch just to get in to gear to take off. anybody know what the problem is? thanks,

Id try the tranny and clutch fluids... that is some desent miles I know when my 2000 GS hit around 110k the linkage broke and needed to be replaced but no problem other than that and I had a clutch put in it at 48K and no other tranny work from there to 110k which I didnt own the car anymore

First off check your clutch fluid and if it's low start looking for the leak. It definately sounds like a lack of fluid to me. But if it has no fluid the fluid MUST have gone SOMEWHERE. Find the cause fix it before fixing the problem. Just like in electronics. You blow a fuse there's a REASON it blew fix it first then fix the fuse you know?

it sounds like you have a leak in one of the hydraullic lines going to your slave cylinder, go outside and check your fluid an dthen pump the clutch ad see if there is fluid on the ground if there is i'm assuming that there is a leak somewhere in the lines

yeah, thanks for the replies, turns out that it was a leak in the clutch slave cylinder, anyway I bought a rebuild kit for 20 bucks and bled the clutch and it runs way better now.

ya i had that same problem with my 2000 RS, same mileage too. i replaced the slave and master cylinder because it looked like my master cylinder had some fluid leaking out of it too. another thing you might wanna check. i say if you replace one cylinder then replace them both ecspecially since they got 92000 miles on them[&:]
