Default Motor mount !!!

Hey I have a 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT with a V-6. and the motor mounts suck ***! On the passenger side right behind the coolant bottle. The overflow tube goes right to that motor mount and has caused it to dry rot. Has anyone else had this problem. And does any one know where I can get a motor mount for not too much?

show parts for the 2001-2005 Stratus/Sebring coupe. they are the same mounts that the eclipse uses. they are very good mounts. straight bolt-on....no pressing the old ones out.

I had the same problem on mine, All 4 motor mounts and transmission mounts burst and rotted ($950). If I were you, I would get it fixed and sell it--they are peices of junk! otherwise you will have problem after problem
why would you sell a car just b/c of motor mounts? replace them with aftermarket motor mounts and they will hold up.

Hey that motor mount would do great for the front of he motor but what about the one that is on the passenger side of the motor?
will the same mount work or not and if not where can I find one that will fit?

Something you might want to look at before you replace the mount is a way to redirect your coolant overflow somewhere OTHER than a motor mount so that you don't kill the new one too.

they also sell the rear mounts and side mounts. most people go with firm front and rear mounts, and flex side mounts.

ya I have already reran my coolant overflow tube and I didn't know if those mounts would work or if they had mounts for the side. Well thanks and one more thing would it be better to go with a softer mount on the sides and a firm one in front?

most people have the best results from firm front and rear mounts and flex side mounts
