power window problem
 

I noticed that my passengers side window wouldn't go down. since it's night time and the flu has really gotten to me, I will check it tomorrow. but I just want to know if it could be a fuse or something worse/pricey? I'm not familiar with power windows as I have rolled down my windows manually with my previous cars. The driver's side works but the buttons on either door won't work on the passengers window.

edit: btw, it's a 2000 gt

hello!! better get ready to replace a window motor. common on that model. make sure you have power going to the motor. if you dont, back track an electrical issue. if a fuse was blown, niether window would work. one word of advice, the regulator has to come out with the motor attached, then change the motor and reinstall. you will NEVER get that motor out in the door!! good luck!! greg...

A quick way to check power at the window motor, turn on your dome lights and press the up/down button and see if the light dims both ways. If it does you have power at the motor and most likely you'll need a motor.

Does anyone know where I can get one of these motors for a 2001 GS? My drivers side motor needs replacing but I cant find the part anywhere. Im in Houston and neither Autozone, Oreily, or Advanced Auto even has it in the warehouses!?! Do I really have to go look at through a junk place or Pick a Part?

jgbrules - Is it a painful procedure? I cant imagine it taking more than an hour to do the whole thing. Or are you saying that if you dont take the regulator out with the motor out its impossible to get it out of the door?
