Seat belt holder on front seat

I bought new seat covers for my 03 Spyder. I need to get the seat belt holders/guide off of the seats to get the new covers on. Does anyone know how to take these off? There seems to be some kind of lever/release there but I can't seem to get them loose.

Thanks for any help

I have the same problem. You can not remove the seat belt guide without cutting the rod that is connected to the seat frame. you can purchase the covers with a Velcro opening for the guide. Yes I have covers that won't fit. the covers I'm using have an opening that was cut then hot glued around the guide. the custom seat covers are more expensive but can be purchased for less than the damage you do to your seats. Don't buy them unless they say seatbelt guide hole provided.

The way to get these off is.. You need to get the cover peeled off as to expose the underside of the seat belt retainer.. There is a clip that goes in a slot in the seat frame. Once you remove it the seat belt retainer will pull out. To reinstall put the clip back in it`s place and with your new cover on .. reinstall seat belt retainer..( You may have to cut a small hole in your cover so do this with the cover on.. You should be able to locate it by feel... the hole should be just enough to pass the seat retainer through..
