Some fitting questions

Hey 3g owners. I have a 2g and recently bought a 07 outlander so I dont spend much time over here. Well my GF just got a 01 eclipse gs for her birthday. Really nice car great sporty little 4 cyl especially with gas prices going up. Everything is great but it is a used car and needs some loving. The kid that previously owned the car was an idiot and put a kill switch on the dash between the steering wheel and door panel. Great spot for a blinking red switch that you dont want someone to find out about. :eek:He also wired in 2 red LED light bulbs under the dash to shine down on the floor/your feet. Well this switch is located on the center console dead smack top of it too. Now removing these will leave two holes obviously and I took a quick look on ebay to find some replacement parts. I found parts from an 04 gt and 03 gt I think it was.

Well let me wrap this up, what years and models will the interior parts fit a 01 gs?Like a 04 gt?
If anyone has the ashtray lid or cig lighter or pass side sill plate or strut tower covers or clean head light lenses or visors let me know. While everything works in the car not everyhing is 100% clean inside.

All interior 3g parts will fit all 3gs. Ive never had a problem and I converted 99% of my interior from 3Ga to 3Gb...

Thanks alot.

Two more question for now. This just started. The car was running and it was in park. The green light was indicating that but then neutral was blinking as well. What could cause this?

How hard is it to replace the switch or gearing or what ever is inside the column on the windsheild washer lever? Right now you have to jiggle it and have it in the right spot to turn them off otherwise the car has day time running wippers.

lol, daytime running wipers... it shouldnt be all that hard. If memory serves, there should just be a few screws holding the assembly together around the steering column. After which I wouldnt see it as being that hard an item to replace.
As for the neutral light blinking while in park. Its not an isolated incedent Ive heard of it b4 on club3g, apparently (That time) it was simply a bad connection. Not really to sure how to make it stop.

Cool I found the trend after over coming that annoying password code issue to do a search haha. Different car but same set up. His tranny is actually toast. This car drives fine and the scanner brough up no codes. Her dad is a mechanic and owns a 02 eclipse gt and has never heard of this happening so I though I would do a little research to help him out, that is if he didnt findthe answer at worktoday. Not too many new 3g eclipes come through the shop because most are under warranty. Now to tell him what to replace. Thanks again Dusty.
