What clutch to recommend

Okay just found out the clutch in my 05 GT is going out and am looking for a new one. I have been told to go with a 6 pad, puck, button clutch as a replacement to my OEM one. I have researched ACT, Exedy, Clutchmasters, and Spec. I have seen mixed reviews from all of them. I am wanting to know what I should go with, will it screw up my transmission, do I need to replace the flywheel, and what will it do to my overall engine life?

I would prefer a clutch that isn't organic, that can stand up to hard driving (street), that will last more than 3 years (if possible). The OEM clutch has lasted approx. 36,000 miles. I am told by another member in the forum that my clutch should have lasted longer.

Any ideas or knowledge would help.....Thanx

if your clutch only lasted that long then it seems someone didnt know how to drive a standard that owned it. But i wouldnt go with a 6-puck since youll loose alot of the streetability from it. Just go with a street disc. Just make sure you get a sprung disc. And i would stay away from spec. But the other three are all decent clutches

What do mean by streetability? I was remiss with the term and applicational use of "rev matching", and I burnt the clutch. Though I am now practicing the technique.

Thanx
