First post here, please be gentle! I'm planning on buying a new 2006 Eclipse (GS) tomorrow. I've already wheeled-and-dealed on the phone and have an appointment tomorrow to see the car in person. (I actually had them bring in the right color from a different dealership) Just have to make sure it's the car for me.

Now that i've practically committed w/ the deal, people are telling me that the Eclipse is a "chick car"! Geez!

What do you think? Is it a chick car? If the verdict is Yes, then would i be making a big mistake getting one, as i'm a guy?

i think the car could be owned by either... however i definately think that they look 150% better with a kit on them... but i would have forked over the little extra money for the GT

 

It's all in how it's done. If you do it all fufu inside then it's a chick car... Look at eclipses of the past... The new one looks different sure but it kinda reminds me of the 350Z which is DEFINATELY not a chick car...

 

I went with a chicks car because I honestly think that chicks look good in all year eclipses.

 

i agree that chicks look great in any eclipse, but i think that the 06 eclipse is a gender neutral, its all in how you make it look. people tell you now that its a chick car, but wait till they see you in it, they'll be sayin "sweet ride man!"

 

little off topic but I actually had a girl tell me my EVO was a chick car... I was like there are like 10 chicks that drive them and thousands and thousands of guys lol

 

4g Eclipse cannot be a chick's car! it's so big and fat, it's like a monster or a beast! lol

lol...they like the way mitsu. formed the eclipse's "butt"...lol most gurls will say: uhh the rear looks like my rear!!!....lolz
