Seat Belt Chime
Does anyone have the codes and sequence for disabling the seat belt chime. Not interested in "faux" buckles. Save the buckle up comments, I just want to travel the parking lot and my lengthy driveway to mailbox in peace. Other mfg have been willing to share but Mitsu dealer and tech sx are no help. Thanks!

RE: Seat Belt Chime
yea that beeping sucks...and it comes on after only 20 seconds or so. just rip out the wire, thats probably what i will do
|
RE: Seat Belt Chime
it only comes on when you MOVE and you're not buckled.
And if you cut or disconnect the seatbelt latch, you will set an SRS code. |
RE: Seat Belt Chime
Not true...there is a wire to disconnect that makes the ecu think the seat beat is buckled...works like a charm... and no SRS light...

RE: Seat Belt Chime
Good news. Mitsu makes a seat belt extender that you can leave clipped in that will turn off the chime and still allow you to buckle up up safely when ready. Best $34.95 I have ever spent!
