V6 vs. 4 cylinder

Can some of you guys who have the 4cyl tell if you like it or not? Versus V6? The one I tested a few days ago was a V6 and I loved the acceleration but I never even tried the 4cyl so I don't know how much more powerful the V6 is. Is there a big difference? How about sound and performance wise?

i have the gs...with all upgrades EXCEPT for the damn v6 engine. I test drove both and theres a HUGE difference acceleration wise. Its so damn heavy the lil 4 may barely beat out a crappy stick neon. if you like speed def get the stick 6 otherwise you may regret it. my need for speed is settled with my motorcycle, this gs lets me roll out with style without the need to push it to the limites and still turn plenty of heads.

Alright well you guys are probably use to sports cars too. I'm coming from a 1987 Jeep Cherokee so any of these new cars feel strong compared to that haha. But I have driven many other vehicles at work and as test drive but they are all V6s so I didn't really know how much of a difference there is between them and a 4 cyl. I guess it comes down to when I have saved up the money if I can afford to fork out a few more thousand and if I don't mind losing some MPG.

I don't see myself doing a lot of racing or anything. We'll see I guess...

Thanks!

dont mistake the eclipse for a sports car, its not. Sports cars are not FF, the Eclipse is a sports coupe. If you want a sports car buy a 350z

From someone who has had both just in the 3G version. and Wanted performance from both. stock vs stock the V6 will absolutly KILL a I4 uup and down. HOWEVER the i4 motor is much more suitable for a turbo...it is easier to turbo or peice to gether. So if you plan to turbo something go for the i4. If you want Tq and a good daily drive the v6 is a nice choice for its comfot and options and the quick accel.

That said both cars are reliable, but they are not performance cars. they suck in corners

The 350z isnt a sports car. Its a huge piece of ****. Wrapped in aluminum and sold to people that dont know any better.
what makes the GSX not a sports car?

We are talking about the 4g you dork.

The 350z IS a sports car. First, the car is RWD, second comes with a very well built VQ series engine with a ton of aftermarket parts. Responds very well to mods... and responds very well to hot blondes : ) <---- the definition of a sports car
