RE: another new sound system guy....
The panel where the rear speaker is placed. I was thinking of trying to fiberglass something that would fit it in.
but I'm talking about this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...8/DSC_1938.jpg The speaker is too big for the tiny hole that is in that plastic panel thing |
RE: another new sound system guy....
It wouldnt fit with the grill off it?

RE: another new sound system guy....
Nope :( The grill is actually really compact surprisingly, it doesn't fit, and it only adds maybe an inch of height and not width.

RE: another new sound system guy....
you can always cut the factory plastic thingy with a dremel or whatever to make it fit but at the same time for an infinity speaker its probably more trouble than its worth. And for the amps you should get. I used a boss 1000 watt for a while. They arent the best def not but for the price they are ha. Jensen is about the same way. Kicker makes good ones if you can afford it. I'm using a Lanzar 1600 watt 2 channel and it sounds fine. basically with amps you get what you pay for.

Dude, I don't know what you're talking about, the Infinity Kappa 6x9 sounds pretty good for the money you put out for it. I've installed a pretty good number of these and the only time they didn't sound great was in a car where the moron who owned it decided he'd hack up his rear deck before bringing it to me. I'd double check the speaker in the factory mounting position, 9 times out of 10 there's a way to make it work, just means you've got to be a little creative.

Lol, ZMC... that is the worst list of Amps Ive ever seen. As a rule of thumb, if it comes from a fleamarket. Its not worth it, same if its sold at walmart.
The infinity Kappa series is a great speaker. Some of the best car audio Ive ever heard has come out of them. Good choice. |
