I have a pioneer in dash dvd player head unit. Mine is the older style to where all you do is ground the parking brake wire.

So you ground the parking brake wire, or you ground the wire from the headunit to the parking brake wire?

Theres going to be 1 wire that just needs to be grounded WITH your regular ground cable. (The black one) Though Im not sure what color the other one is. It will show you in your diagram. I just did this same install in my 3G. Double Din ATW!!

well he bought his headunit and bought a connector That Plug in to the head unit and on the other side of the wires it plug stock radio plug so there was no messing or cutting up factory wires...it was simple....then there was a extra plug for the radio....that had the parking brake wire..Grounded that.....and more wires that connect to some amp thing need to run the headunit....Easy as Cake

Some of the newer monitor headunits use two to three grounds to be able to watch it without having the car stopped and whatnot. The older HUs used one. When you get your HU in let us know. Either way, there will be two to three wires to ground. It doesn't have to be near the brake handle, just grounded.
What brand did you get by chance? Model number? I may be able to find the install guide and I/we can help you better bro.
