Finding electrical connectors in the back
Hi all! I was really happy to find this forum, as it seems like a good and vibrant place to go!
My problem is with the electrical wiring, not the rest of the audio/visual system. Here's what I'm trying to solve. I have three kids in the back of an Outlander 2013 7-seater, and two of them are still in child seats. We've given them a tablet each, mounted in a holder so that they can keep themselves entertained on long trips. The problem is the sound, first we just gave them wired headsets, but such things are terribly fragile, and we've been through some of them before we caved in and gave them bluetooth headsets, but they were too big, so the two kids in child seats couldn't really fit them. Now, there are child seats with built-in loudspeakers, but we're not buying them new seats just for that, and reviews have it they are fragile things too... So, now, I figure I'll fit loudspeakers in their seats myself. The plan is to buy some Bluetooth electronics, like this module and some small loudspeakers that can be fitted under the cushioning of their seats. That would make their seats effectively bluetooth loudspeaker-enabled. :-)
Now, the problem is: How do I power these things? Battery would work, of course, but it would be much better if the system could be powered from the car. So, I'm curious to hear if there are any connectors that I could use in the back of the car. It takes 3.7-5V DC, so the best would be in that range, but it is no problem stepping down from 12V either.
