Do you have any recommendations for a decent sounding muffler?
Including price to supply and fit + taxes.
Sportsback GTS 2010.
Thanks.

Much would depend on what type of ‘decent sound’ you were looking for. Could you try to describe what it was that you had in mind? (Example: ‘Raspier’ note at higher RPM, a ‘Quieter’ muffler, etc.) On Colt-Speed’s Japanese site, there are sound recordings of the mufflers. You’ll need to click on ‘Japanese’ instead of ‘English’, visit Galant Fortis (as the Lancer is called in Japan) and then scroll down and click on the ‘NA’ listing, as the GTS has the 2.4 Naturally Aspirated engine, correct? If you have difficulty with this, let us know. We are trying to link this with the Canadian website; we thank you for your patience in advance while we work on this.

This sounds nice and throaty.
Will adding a new exhaust make any difference to mileage, engine effiency?
I do know that on a motorbike the carbs have to be re jetted, does the same apply to a car with a different muffler?
How does it affect the warranty?
Thanks.

Hello,

We like the note of the Stainless Exhausts as well.

Since Colt-Speed Japan does not publish exact figures as to performance increases, neither can we. It has been said that at times, slight increases may be noticed, yet usually the most significant increases are noticed when a good muffler is used in conjunction with a performance air intake of come kind.

As for the re-jetting, any changes in back-pressures or otherwise are negligible, and any slight changes would be compensated by the vehicles computers.

As for warranty, Mitsubishi will not, of course, cover the warranty of a Colt-Speed muffler in case something happened to it. A high-quality gasket is provided with the Colt-Speed muffler, and the stock rubber hangers are to be used. No adverse affect to your warranty will be realized.

Hopefully this answers your questions.

Yes thank you, you have answered the questions to my satisfaction.
Next step is do you have anything similiar?
Price to supply and fit and location.
Please and thank you.
