The targa almost looks like an old school 240 or 300. I like the convertable better although I'll never own another convertable again after having my '97 Spyder.

what being SLK based? Just look at them. they have ALOT of the same lines and looks, and the motors are the same even the kompressor version in the SRT6 crossfire and those are pretty f'in fast.

Im almost certain theyre based on the same platform. It would only make sense, (Daimler/Benz) constantly switches parts between the brands. To my understanding the connection between Mopar and Benz and the still running connection of Mitsu. and Mopar is what brought us such things as the famed AMG Galant.

No I know for a fact they are based on the same platform. I was talking in reply to sebba. The crossfire and SLK 320 share the exact same motor and appearences out side of the car.

Everyone i asked that has driven an ordinary crossfire and the SLK for that matter, said they hated it. Come to think of it, top gear said they hated it too.

Back in 2000 my dad had a SLk for a few weeks... and absolutly dispised it.

the non supercharged version are alot more lame. the ineriors suck all around. but they handle ok and the car was still fun to drive they feel faster than they are because of the size of the car. But the SRT version screws that is for sure. The shifters feel cheezy like its a toy and you can break it or something and the dash and instruments are not appealing visually
