05 galant timing belt
I have a 2005 Galant 2.4 L SOHC. The timing belt has stripped the teeth at the crankshaft completely off. Couple questions.
1 - Interference engine? According to google it is. 2 - The teeth were stripped off on starting, not while driving. What are the chances my valves did NOT bend. 3 - Kind of related to the 2nd question, should I just throw a new belt on, line it all up, and hope for the best? If not what should my course of action be? |
